TIM KURKJIAN, ESPN BASEBALL ANALYST & AUTHOR Discussing his recent book, “Is this a great game or what?” and the current status of baseball in America
Born and raised in Bethesda, Maryland, and a 1978 Graduate of the University of Maryland at College Park, Tim Kurkjian joined ESPN in March 1998 as both a reporter for Baseball Tonight and a senior writer for ESPN The Magazine. Kurkjian's extensive background covering baseball included a stint at Sports Illustrated as a senior writer from 1989-1997.

FEATURED SPEAKER MARYLAND LIEUTENANT GOVERNOR ANTHONY BROWN Discussing current issues including BRAC, health care, economic development and higher education
Born in 1961, Lieutenant Governor Anthony Brown received his Bachelor of Arts in Government (cum laude) from Harvard University, and his Juris Doctorate from Harvard Law School. Commissioned a Second Lieutenant in the US Army, Brown served tours of duty in Europe, Panama, Canada, and in 2005 was deployed as a Reservist to Iraq as part of Operation Iraqi Freedom. Elected to Maryland House of Delegates from Prince George's County in 1998, Lt. Governor Brown served as Majority Whip from 2004 to 2007; and served on the Joint Committee on Legislative Ethics, Economic Matters Committee, Joint Technology Oversight Committee, and others. He was elected Lt. Governor of Maryland in November 2006.
