Since its inception in 1926 as the Bethesda Chamber of Commerce, this organization known today as The Greater Bethesda-Chevy Chase Chamber of Commerce has been recognized and respected for its impressive stature in the community. With its record of extraordinary economic development and community improvement throughout the years, the Chamber has earned its position in the region. As the oldest and largest business organization in Montgomery County, and with its rich legacy of leadership, be assured the Chamber will continue to build on its record as it continues to help build a greater Bethesda-Chevy Chase.
The Greater Bethesda-Chevy Chase Chamber is an active chamber that looks to advance its members growth and prosperity, and provide increased opportunities and value for its membership. The Chamber advocates for and unites the business community, conveys business interests to policy-makers and advances the regions economic health. To carry out this mission, the Chamber serves as the voice of business and involves the private sector in community leadership.
From our annual KIND (Kids in Need Drive) program, collecting back to school supplies for hundreds of area children, to our bi-annual awards programs for the police officers at the Second District Station, from reaching out to our growing senior community and telling them about all the services of our members, and our participation in the annual Community Service Day, to our community sponsored Holiday Goodwill Dinner for those in need in our community -- the Chamber and our members are one with the community.
In addition to vibrant committee work in Advocacy, Community Development, Membership Services, Membership Development and Marketing & Communications, The Greater Bethesda-Chevy Chase Chamber provides unique opportunities for members though its special events -- from the Annual Legislative Reception, Celebrate Gala, to the annual Real Estate Update, Monument Bank Golf Classic, Business Expo, and the Annual Installation and Awards Dinner, to the monthly Quick Connects (new member orientations), business after hours (including our special beer, scotch and wine tastings), and Power Networking Breakfasts, quarterly Professional Development Seminars, and Signature Series Luncheons, members of The Greater Bethesda-Chevy Chase Chamber can participate in some of the most popular events in Montgomery County.
