Welcome to The Greater Bethesda-Chevy Chase Chambers Advocacy section! The B-CC Chamber was formed over 80 years ago due to the need for coordinated business advocacy in our community. Our commitment to advocating on behalf of the B-CC area business community has not changed, but we need your involvement now, more than ever. Your involvement really does make a difference. Whether its writing a personal letter to your county councilmember or learning about the issues that shape each election, if youre not making your voice heard, someone else is. Similarly, elected representatives can be undecided or unfamiliar with the details of an issue, which gives much more weight to each informed letter or phone call they receive. Let your members of Congress, state representatives, county executive and councilmembers know what you think about the issues to find out who your legislators are, please go to the Public Officials page. To learn from Ron Resh, the Chambers Public Affairs Consultant, about the issues the Chamber is currently focusing on, please click here to go to the Legislative Update page. The Chambers advocacy efforts are addressed every month through the committees of the Economic Development and Government Affairs Group. They, together with the Board of Directors, annually develop the Chambers Annual Legislative Agenda that addresses the current issues that affect doing business in the Greater Bethesda-Chevy Chase community. These committees, which meet every month and are open to all members of the Chamber, include: For more information on each of these committees, when they meet and their leadership, click here to go to the Committees page. To get more involved in the election process and helping to educate the community about the legislators voting records and whether or not they are in sync with the Chambers Legislative Agenda, join the Bethesda-Chevy Chase Chamber PAC.
