WINE TASTING
Time: 5:30pm - 7:00pm

After a long day at the office, join the B-CC Chamber Technology Committee and the Tech Council of Maryland for a complete introduction to an array of premiere wines. Don't miss this opportunity to network while sampling hand selected wines and complimentary hors d' oeuvres. Hosted by Ken Loren, Kenco Beverage Sales. All wines will be available for sale at Bethesda's Bradley Food & Beverage.
Wine Menu:
JACKSON ESTATE SAUVIGNON BLANC: This wine was selected as one of WINE SPECTATORS top 100 wines in 2002. It is an outstanding example of one of the best Sauvignon Blancs coming from New Zealand today. The 2002 vintage just received an 89 point rating from WINE SPECTATOR.
MILTON PARK SHEARWATER CHARDONNAY: The 2002 Chardonnay has been source from some of the South Eastern Australia's finest vineyard regions. The result is an appealing medium -bodied, fruit driven style of Chardonnay. Mild oak influence complements creamy melon and peach flavors.
CASTILLO LABASTIDA RIOJA(SPAIN): Ben Gilberti of The Washington Post raved about this wine in one of his wine columns. It is a beautiful wine and goes great with food, especially poultry. Made from 100% Temperanillo grapes, aged in American oak it is a fine wine and Giliberti said "it could easily pass for a French Cotes de Beaune Village".
AGUSTOS RESERVE MERLOT: This Chilean wine has an intense ruby-red color with blue reflections. It has hints of blueberries, dry plums, toast and vanilla. On the palate it is very smooth yet complex with mature tound tannins. Its finish is well balanced and pleasant. This wine is the perfect companion to pastas and all kinds of meats.
MEZZO GIORNO NERO D' AVOLA SHIRAZ: If you like Shiraz, then you ar sure to love this wine from Sicily! This Shiraz is saturated with fruit flavors of plum, boysenberry, mocha with hints of spice and black pepper. If you thought all Shiraz came from Australia, then you'll learn something new.
